What BeFrienders do
BeFrienders are trained volunteers who provide pastoral care to people in difficult and transitional situations, such as illness, loneliness, or loss of a loved one. They embody the caring presence of God and the faith community at St. James Lutheran Church.

How do I request a BeFriender for myself or a member of St. James?
Contact our church pastors or the office to request a follow up conversation. BeFriender Ministry brochures are located in the pew rack or at the information center and include information and a request form for BeFriender visits (place in the offering plate or turn in to the church office).

I am interested in BeFriender Ministry training, how do I learn more?
Contact a BeFriender Ministry Leader or complete the request form in the BeFriender Ministry brochure (place in the offering plate or turn in to the church office).
