Confirmation Winter Retreat; Racism: Hidden Sin, Revealed Hope

On Friday February 9 to Saturday February 10, St. James Confirmation Ministry will host a Winter Retreat at Camp Omega Retreat Center in Waterville, MN.  The topic will focus on Racism: Hidden Sin, Revealed Hope.  In a safe environment, we will examine racism and its impact on God's people, discuss prejudice and bias after viewing the movie "Hidden Figures," and look at ways we can share radical hospitality and the inclusion of God with others.

In addition to watching the movie, "Hidden Figures and faith development discussions, there will be games, crafts, and outdoor activities including snow tubing, broomball, and snowshoeing.  

What to bring:  Sleeping gear (sleeping bag, pillow, etc.), outdoor winter attire, money for McDonalds on the way home Saturday.  

The cost of the retreat is $80 and includes Friday dinner, Saturday Breakfast, and Saturday lunch.

We hope that all confirmation students and their small group leaders attend.

Registration is due by December 13 with a deposit of $25.  Balance of $55 is due on Jan. 24.
