Unique Conversation on Welcome #2

blackboard-frame-greeting-984539.jpg

Sharing the welcome and hospitality of Jesus is an essential part of who we are as a congregation. Using a format that allows for differences and respects all voices, we will discuss a draft Welcome Statement that would make clear our openness and inclusivity towards those of all races, economic backgrounds, and the LGBTQ+ community. The congregation will vote on the statement at the Annual Meeting in January. Come to the Unique Conversation on Welcome and share your perspectives as we make it better together.

This is the second of three opportunities. We will also discuss the statement on Sunday January 5, during the Adult Forum time (11:00 - 11:45 a.m.)

This is a ministry many St. James members have participated in over the years. Perhaps you would like to volunteer again or join the cleaners for the first time picking up litter and cast offs on this stretch of road. Confirmation students and SDA Espanol folks will join in!

When: Saturday, October 19, 2:00pm [60-90 minutes in length]

Where: Meet in St. James Narthex, bring work gloves and wear work clothes and shoes

Who: Individuals, families, confirmation small groups, and SDA Espanol folks. Children must be 12yr and have adult supervision. 12-15 volunteers would be welcome.

Why: To improve God’s green space and enjoy the company of others from St. James.

Sign up below or by the office Today!
