Third Grade Bibles given this year on Reformation Sunday

Spark Bible.jpg

This year, in conjunction with the 500th Commemoration of the Lutheran Reformation on Reformation Sunday, October 29, St. James will be presenting Bibles to those in Third Grade.  Martin Luther was passionate about making the Bible accessible to every Christian - translating scripture into the language of everyday German.  All students and parents are invited to worship on October 29 at 9:30 to receive their copy of the Spark Bible - the Bibles come as a gift from the entire St. James community.

Helping out with this effort is the Confirmation students and small group leaders.  This is the second Fall servant event for Confirmation Ministry.  All students are asked to participate.

Quilters Group-Please stop in!

No Sewing Experience necessary. We pin 3 pieces of fabric together as our starting step, so if you can help with that step please come. If you like to sew, tie knots or quilt, those are the next steps and you are welcome to help with that also. Quilts made are given to people in need in Minnesota, including our neighbors in Savage and Burnsville. Stop by on Saturday (and hopefully stay) to see how this fun ministry is done. We also always welcome fabric donations.  Ministry Host: Marlys Schindeldecker
