Quilters Group-Please stop in!

QUILTERS+3.jpg

No Sewing Experience necessary. We pin 3 pieces of fabric together as our starting step, so if you can help with that step please come. If you like to sew, tie knots or quilt, those are the next steps and you are welcome to help with that also. Quilts made are given to people in need in Minnesota, including our neighbors in Savage and Burnsville.

Stop by on Saturday (and hopefully stay) to see how this fun ministry is done. We also always welcome fabric donations.  Ministry Host: Marlys Schindeldecker

Discover the Neighborhood

crossgrowingneighborhood.jpg

A group is forming to explore the neighborhood surrounding St. James.  We will be doing some deep listening to find out what is important to the people who live in the area surrounding our church home.  The goal is to find new ways of connecting with and serving our neighbors.

If you are curious, want to see St. James more connected to its neighbors, or like to learn new things....  then we need you on this time.   For further questions contact Pastor Walt at pastorwalt@stjameslc.com.

Funeral Home Visit

DSC_0004.JPG

Each year, the Confirmation Ministry takes a trip to a Funeral Home.  This experience allows a safe environment for youth to learn about end of life care.  They can ask any questions that they might have about death, grief, and how we care for the body after someone we love has died.  It also allows for us to talk about our Christian hope in the resurrection.

On Sunday, April 22nd, Pastor Walt will be leading a tour of the McNearney-Schmidt Funeral Home in Shakopee.  This trip is open to all Confirmation students (in all grades), parents, and anyone else who might like to attend.  Please register below.

Please fill out for EACH person attending.
