You won't want to worship this Sunday (8:00 and 9:30 a.m.), September 10. St. James begins another exciting year of ministry that is designed to build and deepen loving relationships with God, each other, and our neighbor. At 9:30 worship, a Festival choir (consisting of voices from all four of our vocal choirs) will lead the congregation's song. Children will be waving ribbons and shaking instruments as they parade around the sanctuary. Backpacks for school will be blessed and each child/youth/adult who brings their backpack will receive a small memento. All are welcome to participate in the Eucharistic feast.
A congregational Comfort Meal Pack will follow Sunday School. Together we will stock the freeze in the narthex with Comfort Meals - St. James outreach ministry that has fed 5000 people since it began in 2010. All ages can help pack the soup containers.
Wrapping up a full day, we will share in a BBQ lunch with meat that has been smoked by one of St. James neighbors. The food will be great and only rivaled by the fellowship.
