Throughout the month of August and September, we will be praying with our graduated high school students as they set out on the next steps of their life's journeys. Whether they are going to college, trade school, the military, or right into the workplace, it is a significant time. St. James wants to be there to lend our support and prayers. By name and in person, we want to lift your name up in prayer, asking for God's guidance and strength.
During the Sending portion of the 9:30 a.m. Sunday worship, we will call forth those who have signed up for these special prayers. At the baptismal font, where many of them were baptized, we will pray prayers of Godspeed for them and share a blessing. Following worship, folks are invited to share personal words of experience and well wishes.
Graduated seniors and their parents are invited to sign up below for this experience. We ask that you let us know by Wednesday before the Sunday on which you'd like to receive these prayers so that we can get your name printed correctly in the bulletin.
If you started school early or have already been working - do not fret. We can do this at any time - even in the fall during a break or a slower time. Whether we can individually pray with our young men and women on a Sunday morning or not, St. James keeps you all in our prayers. We want to continue to be your church family during this special time of transitions and new beginnings.
