Who We Are

Our vision for St. James guides us as individuals and as a  community down  a path of relationships and connections.  It begins with and is centered in the loving relationship that God has established with our community through the waters of baptism and the hospitality of the table.  By grace, we are brought into a vibrant and life giving connection with the Creator of all life.   Because of God’s action in our lives, we find ourselves intricately linked to others within this community.  Among us, there is a diversity of perspectives, experiences, ages, income levels, and ethnic identities.  We celebrate this reality and we seek to support each other.  In addition, God’s grace invites us beyond ourselves into the lives of neighbors who surround us with an even greater, and many times undiscovered, diversity.  Our vision invites us to put people before programs, commitments before consumption, and love into action in tangible ways that benefit our neighbor.

Vision:

By the Grace of God, we will build and deepen loving relationships with God, each other, and our neighbors.

Values:

God’s Grace is the at the center of all we are and do.

Respect is how we treat each other despite differences.

Appreciate one another’s contributions and person, always.

Compassion is what we will show to all, inside and outside our community.

Encouragement in words and deeds.
