Not only do they bring a youthful exuberance to worship, they also share their beautiful voices! Soul Fire practices on Wednesday nights and is one of five choirs at St James.
During the summer months, worship is taken outdoors! Every Wednesday night during June-August, you will find individuals enjoying worship around a campfire. Complete with a house band, hotdogs & s'mores!
St. James Lutheran High School group meets every Wednesday night from 6:30 - 8:00pm. During this time they discuss faith, friends, service ideas and of course play games!
As seen here, they also make the Communion Bread we break during worship. Thanks to SPARK for the fabulous bread!
Free Garage Sale
St James hosted a free garage sale for our congregation & neighbors. Over 120 people attended and about 80% of the donated items were taken.
What a success!
Not only did St James Sunday School children learn the Easter story thru spoken word and song, they also watched the story grow! As a group, they made a resurrection garden to help all ages learn the story.
Like rock and roll? You will love to hear Praise III sing on Sunday mornings.
Praise III is St James contemporary choir, complete with a band. This group is one of the five choirs at St James and practices on Thursday evenings.

Armful of Love
For many years St James has sponsored families in need during the holiday season. What fun it is to spread Christmas Cheer!
Children are invited to 'get their wiggles out' during Sunday worship by collecting a Noisy Offering. The loose change collected is added to the St James general fund.

There are many ways to expand one's knowledge of the Bible.
There are multiple weekly Bible study meetings that occur at varying times throughout the week & day. Check out the website for dates/times/locations.
Adult Faith Formation
One may think that Adult education/faith formation conversations are going to be, ..Boring? After all, "Those classes are all about just reading the Bible."
At St James this couldn't be farther from the truth! While reading/interpreting the Bible is apart of the conversation, we also play games [last week's quiz show], create crafts, have a "Hymn Pick," learn about Africa, money management, service projects and so much more!
Did you know that Pastor Walt meets one-on-one with individuals that need someone to talk too?
He meets with individuals inside the church walls and outside in the community too. He regularly visits hospitals, care centers & personal homes to talk to those in need.
What's more fun than shouting out BINGO???
St. James joins residents of Ebenezer Ridges for a lively game of Bingo and fellowship.
St. James Junior High students take time out of their busy schedules to learn about the Lutheran Faith. Confirmation classes are held weekly on Wednesday nights.
All Saints Table Cloth
Church goers were encouraged to write the name of a Saint in their life on a tablecloth during the month of October. This tablecloth was used to decorate the St James Altar during All Saints Sunday.
St. James Organist
What is church without the sound of an organ?.... A quiet one!
St. James is blessed to have a very talented organist. Not only does the organ music lead the worship on Sunday mornings, she also accompanies the choirs and special music performances throughout the year.
Pastoral Care Team
Communion and prayers are shared by this team with individuals in our community that are unable to attend worship. The team will assist Pastor by making visits with the congregation at home and in the hospital as requests are made.

500th Commemoration of the Reformation
Many events were done to celebrate the 500th year of Martin Luther's Reformation. Including a book fair, games, photo booth, & a potluck

Kids in Worship
An elementary aged St. James youth shares a bible story with a younger St. James youth before worship. It's never to early to share the story!
St. James shares the gospel every Sunday with our school aged children in Sunday School. The children learn about the Christian Faith thru song, stories, crafts, games and movies. Come join the Fun!
St. James welcomes new members into the Christian family thru Baptism on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. The newly baptized are given a Bible, prayer shawl and a candle to aid in their faith formation. Eight individuals have been baptized since the beginning of 2017.
If it wasn't for the Sound Booth, no one would be able to hear the worship service on Sunday. Thanks to everyone that works the sound booth to ensure the congregation can hear the Gospel, Message, and Choral Ensembles!
Come, hear the beautiful voices of Grace A'Plenty as they lead worship throughout the year. Grace A'Plenty rehearses Monday nights and is one of five choirs at St. James.
Every Sunday morning, church-goers are met by friendly individuals at the door. The St. James Hospitality team ensures everyone is greeted and ushered in with a smile and feels welcome.
They also help with readings and communion set up, serving and clean up.

American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter
As a sign of hospitality for the deaf and hard of hearing in our midst, St. James worship service is signed weekly to ensure all church-goers have a Christ filled experience.
Comfort Meal Ministry
Meals in our freezer are packed once a month and available for us to share with friends and family that are sick or just need a home cooked meal. Since this ministry began in 2010, we have distributed over 5,000 meals.
