Director, Joe Schmidt gave a tour of the funeral home, explained the process of meeting with families, shared his calling of caring for the loved ones of others, and answered questions.

After our visit, we returned to church and continued conversation about death and our beliefs about what happens after life.

Class ended with a silly creature drawing challenge and squeeze prayer.

Confirmation Recap 10/01/25 - The 10 Commandments

Confirmation students (grades 6-8) meet weekly to learn core lessons about our Lutheran faith and dig into the Bible.

This week students wrestled with what is right and fair as they studied the 10 commandments. Split into two groups, students created their own explanation of the ten commandments after reading Martin Luther's explanations in his Small Catechism.

Pastor Jenny then challenged two teams to silly minute to win it games. The fun game turned to blame when they realized the rules weren't the same for everyone. Students learned the Lutheran doctrine of the two uses of the law.

Class ended with small group highs and lows.
