Sunday School Recap 10/19/25

Today we heard the story from Exodus 3:1-15 about the time when God appeared to Moses in a burning bush to ask him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. At first Moses does not think he is qualified to do what God is asking him to do. He asks, “Who am I that I should go to Pharoah?” In verse 12 God tells Moses, “I will be with you.” We learned that God is always with us, he sees our struggles and has a plan to help us, just like he helped Moses. We talked about times when we have been asked to do things we don’t want to do, or don’t think we would be good at, and how we can rely on God to help us in those moments.

For our craft, we focused on the burning bush. Grades 1-2 made a tissue paper flame that glows when held up to the light. And in Grades 3-5 we used Mod Podge to paste tissue paper to a clear glass and made a drawing of a bush on the outside of the cup. We placed battery-operated tea light candles in the cups so it looks like the bush is burning!
