Today we heard the story from Luke 10:38-42 about a time when Jesus visited the home of his friends Martha and Mary. Mary sat and listened to His teaching while Martha was busy preparing dinner and doing all of the work. Martha was upset, but Jesus told her that sometimes it is important to take time to stop working and listen.
The kids in Grades 3-5 learned a puppet show about the story. Once we had practiced it a couple of times we invited the kids in Pre-K through Grade 1 to come watch and it was a lot of fun. After the puppet show the performers came out from behind the puppet theater to let the audience have a chance to meet the puppets!
