Today was a big day, as 3rd Graders received their Bibles! The story we learned today was about Adam and Eve, from the very first book in the Bible, Genesis, chapter 2. We practiced looking it up and spent time discovering more about the Bible. We then played a game in which two teams raced to see who was fastest to put miniature wooden "books" of the Bible in the proper order on their shelves. They got some practice in using their Bibles to help them figure out the order. We will continue to use our Bibles each week in Sunday School now that all Grade 3-5 students have their own. And the students got a special Bible bookmark that was homemade by members of our church.
Grades K-2 made an apple tree craft using tissue paper, construction paper and a pipe cleaner snake.
