We started out today in the Sanctuary, with Kari Owens teaching the kids a song they will sing during worship in November. After music time we learned a story from Chapter 20 of Exodus, about the time when God called Moses to the top of Mount Sinai to give His people special rules on how to live - the Ten Commandments. We learned how the first three Commandments are rules for loving God, and the other 7 Commandments are rules for being kind to other people.
The older grades made a folded paper "fortune teller" which had all 10 of the Commandments on it. The younger grades played games and also made crafts to help them remember the story (and the Commandments!).
